Sunny day

Looking through my window I can see the beautiful mountains north of Vancouver. What amazing experience and this reminds me: "I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth" (Psalm 121:1-2).

God is the maker of everything and also my best friend. How wonderful is to understand that! He is open for relationship. Actually He took the initiative giving us JESUS, His beloved Son. He died or death and He rose from the grave to open the gates of heaven for us.
I look at the mountains but I am not afraid asking about my help. I know my friend is taking care of me daily.
Blessings to your heart...

Obey, even if you do not understand...

"The army of the king of Babylon was then besieging Jerusalem, (...) 'The word of the LORD came to me: Hanamel son of Shallum your uncle is going to come to you and say, 'Buy my field at Anathoth, because as nearest relative it is your right and duty to buy it". Jeremiah 32

What a so strange command! The land was surrounded by the enemy... the price of the land has no value anymore... everybody will lose the right of their properties... And God says to Jeremias to buy a field?
Jeremias, an obedient servant, bought it! Afterwards he asked theLord for explanations about it.
The God's answer was that the nation would be restored again! So the land would come to the hands of His people. "Once more fields will be bought in this land"(v.43)
The obedience of Jeremias was a testimony that God loved His people and would give them, again, the right of the land. But it happened again more than 70 years after that purchase!

The principles of the Sacred Scriptures are to be obeyed, not questioned. Even if we don't understand, we should give to God all of our obedience.
Read all the chapter 32 of Jeremias and find the marvelous answer of God to the prophet.
Be blessed!

The Lord is my Helper!

So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13.6
The fear is an inconsistent feeling that freezes our actions. It is always related to our unknown and uncertain future, by that the anxiety is installed destroying our forces. The confidence declared in this verse is not self-confidence. It is total dependence on God. He is my only one Helper and, consequently, I will not fear!
I will depend on HIM even if I don't understand nothing about what is happening today or will come tomorrow. Today I am going to depend on HIM with my whole heart, with all my force and understanding.
The next part of the text goes further and asks: What can man do to me? Interesting!
The fear of everything takes us to fear our friends, relatives, parents, companions of work, pastors, leaders, rulers, etc. What of worse someone will be able to do to me? Kill me? Therefore the confidence on HIM declares that "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." (Philippians 1.21).
What can man do to me? If they will do me the worst, I will be still in the hands of God.
Trust on HIM.
Today it is a pretty day that HE gave to you!
